Workshop Design
Softdevice was consulted to study the configuration and operation of an AV environment in the cooking classroom, as plans for a new building, to be opened in three years' time, were developed. We worked with the client in a mutual exchange of ideas to design a workshop based on a concept that focusses on future education methods instead of specific services and products that may be introduced in upcoming years.
Twenty-five school staff members gathered in the lab for group exercises. Each participant was asked to start with their thoughts on “what should be taught to students" and to come up with ideas for an environment and practices necessary for students to learn those skills. These initial ideas were used as tools to drive and create an ongoing dialogue during the workshop.
