Work

strategy

Human interface = The design of human behaviours. This position remains our strength that allows us to create integrated proposals without limiting our ideas to software or hardware, services or products alone. Additionally, we developed our unique approach towards advanced design and prototyping to formulate visions at an early stage, before the requirements of concrete definitions. Inspired by the dawn of interaction design, we combine experience and original methods.

service

The main feature of our design process is 'Sketch'. We start rough prototyping from a very early stage of consideration, as if we were drawing sketches, and then brush up on them over and over. By always proceeding with the process in a way that is close to the experience the user will get, we greatly raise the quality of our proposals. The LAB. is a place to broaden the scope of these considerations and to share them with others. The process can be carried out from the upstream phase through to implementation and testing, and can be ordered from any phase in accordance with the client's request.

Lab

Over the years we continually emphasized the investment in new creative spaces and equipment. Even within digital design it is important for us to create spatial mockups and physical models to realistically understand how our design’s challenges can be understood and approached. Our Lab is not only a maker space to examine, research and build but a social and relaxation area located in the basement of our Kyoto office.

history

1984 starting from product design, we have grown alongside the discipline of interface design. At the same time, we kept developing and working on our methods and processes, to create new ideas for approaching design.

products

We have started several self-developed products and services after considering how to use the wide experiences and knowledge we have gathered over the years.
