Building a Digital Learning Environment that Enhances Learners' Education
Kyoto University offers a curriculum called the "Medical Data Specialist Training Course" aimed at developing professionals who can reliably support and properly manage the entire information flow from the creation to the utilization of medical data. We were commissioned to develop an online system that provides this curriculum, which consists of four courses combining lectures and practical training, in a format accessible to partner schools, working professionals, and other educational institutions.
Each instructor brings their own unique style to their classes. However, it is important for the system to have a sense of unity and to enable learners to study at their own pace while maintaining their motivation. SoftDevice received a request to develop such a system, and we undertook the development of a learning site and a CMS using WordPress, created document formats for instructors, produced jingles for lecture videos, and designed illustrations for the materials.
